Dr. Redick told us a quote from the movie Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, "I’m just a messed up girl who’s looking for my own piece of mind." This was a very interesting quote. I like it because the Clementine is trying to focus on trying to make herself better. They say that you cannot help someone be 100% if you yourself are not 100%. I agree with this. Just because you need to help yourself, does not mean that you have to turn away from everyone. You can always look to God for help. Trying to talk to others about your issues is hard because they just end up bringing up their own stories of a situation that sounds similar but deep down you know it is completely different. No one has the exact same life experiences. Everyone handles everything differently. The handle their emotions differently, may have a different view on life, and may take action in different ways. You cannot give advice based on your experience and then get upset when they do not follow your advice because they know themselves and know that how you handled something is different than how they would have dealt with it. God is the only one who really knows how your mind works and how you take actions. He is the perfect one to go to but while asking him for help, keep in mind he is helping you in his way. Sometimes, it feels like he is not even helping at all. As long as you have faith and patience, his hard work for you will always come through.
