1. The
Noland Trail – August 4th 2015
This trip to the Noland was for a
personal reflection time over the summer, with the pilgrimage internship with
the Livingstone House of Prayer. In this time, something immediately took spark
of what was going on around me.
The sky.
How beautiful it was. Overcast. I
recall asking myself “how can overcast skies be so beautiful, so bright?” The
beauty within the realms above was astonishing. The illumination hidden behind
a blanket of white and gray fluff permeating through. Then, it hit me. This is
exactly how God communicates to us in our own lives. We tend to only see this
blanket, this covering of gray, ugly, putrid sin and poor strides in our day to
day moments. However, the light never stops shining, no matter what we see. It
still shines on us in some sense, whether through the moon or the sun, and it
provides illumination so that we can see the way to move forward. God
communicates through His creation. The communication of The Father through what
we see, taste, feel, hear, and touch provides us the consecration in our hearts
of His goodness. He permits us to see His works through these little glimpses.
