"It would seem that given this structure of likeness, one must be like God in order to pray to God." This was an interesting quote to come across. It certainly is false. You do not have to be like God in order to pray to him. In fact, you pray to him because you are struggling not being like him. That is actually not true as well. You can pray to God for any reason. It is just like the relationship with your earthly father, he wants you to come talk to him as often as possible. It can be for no reason at all and you just want to tell him about your day. You can be experiencing something traumatic and cry out to God for help. At any time of day, God is there with open ears and helping hands. Prayer should not be based on the type of religion and how many times a day you should pray and you will be saved. It is based on the person and their willingness to talk to God.
