Kasey Frazier Image and Pilgrimage in Christian Culture: Pilgrimage as a Liminoid Phenomenon

"Liminality is not only transition but also potentiality, not only "going to be" but also "what may be." This quote defines what Liminality is and I think it correlates very well with sacred journeys. Liminality is a stage during the scared journey where there is transition of the person becoming something greater and bettering themselves. It can also speak for the future and what will happen. I completely agree and love this quote because many people think it is one step of transition but in actuality there is multiple. The definition of Liminality helps put this into prospective and uses the word potentiality to help illustrate that picture.
