Kasey Frazier Landscapes Of The Sacred: Sociological and Legal Efforts to Define the Sacred

In this section it talks about how sacred places inevitable. I completely agree with this because no matter the time period people search for a place where the can connect to an Other. Sacred places will always be around or come around no matter what. Sacred places allow for religious people to connect to the Other they are worshipping. For non-religious people it can be a place where they let all their worries go and find peace with themselves. A personal reason I feel scared places are inevitable is because if a person is not searching to find their Other than their Other is looking to connect to them. This brings in the axiom a sacred chooses you. The higher Other will find you if they want to. This means you cannot escape the connection of connecting. For this reason sacred places are inevitable. Do you think there is a way to avoid the Other and avoiding scared places in general?
